Golf

Darryl Evans and Herb Lane recently returned from the British Blind Golf Open Championships and World Blind Golf Championships held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and had a great time despite the bad weather,  meeting lots of other golfers who were Blind or Visually Impaired  sharing hints and tips with them after the event.

Sailing

The Australian Blind Sailing team consisting of Ryan Honschooten and Kylie Forth have just returned from the Homerus International Match-Race Championships for Blind People and are delighted to bring back fourth place in this competition. Kylie's first as a Skipper and Ryan's as a crew.  Kylie and Ryan began this year's competition ranked ninth of the nine teams competing, however winning four of their seven races moved them five places up the ladder.  It was a very challenging but reward four days of racing for Kylie and Ryan as they set themselves against the best blind match racers in the world, learning many valuable lessons which will assist them in future competitions.

Kylie and Ryan's next challenge is the World Blind Sailing Championships in Rotorua, New Zealand next March, and we wish them well.
