BIG DAY OUT

The Blind Sporting Council recently held its "Big Day Out' event on the River Murray at Murray Bridge on Sunday April 19th.  The day began with a bus leaving the Blind Sporting Council's office and transporting everyone up to Murray Bridge.  A Day of excitement and enjoyment ensured.  All manner of water sports occurred with rides on speed boats, inflatable tubes and biscuits.  The more adventurous received specialized coaching to water ski.

An overflowing barbecue lunch was provided with everyone keen to get back to the River.  The only disappointment of the day came when we had to return back to Adelaide.

The Blind Sporting Council deeply appreciates the kind support of Mayor Allan Arbon of the Rural City of Murray Bridge in attending and supporting the 'Big Day Out'.  We thank the Apex Club of Murray Bridge who assisted with all luncheon and refreshment requirements.  We appreciate all the efforts of the South Australian Barefoot Water Ski Club for supporting the 'Big Day Out' with all specialized equipment, coaching and boats.

For all businesses and everyone who donated in making this event an enormous success, the Blind Sporting Council says Thank You!

Without your generous donations and support so many people who are blind or vision impaired would not have had this spine-tingling experience!
